The stage is necessary in creating your puppet show.
Here are some directions from eHow.com
Things You’ll Need:
- Large cardboard box
- Acrylic paints or spray paint
- Craft knife
-
Craft glue
-
Scissors
-
Fabric
Step 1:
Decorate a cardboard box. This step is one that you'll want to get your kids involved in. Let them use acrylic paints or spray paint to paint the stage however they want. Encourage them to come up with their own design ideas. Allow the paint to dry completely before moving on to the next step.
Step 2:
Cut out the window area. Take a craft knife and cut out a rectangular hole in the box. Take into consideration your child's height when creating the window, since you want him to be able to reach the stage while on his knees. When the window is complete, cut the excess piece of cardboard into thirds and attach one to the bottom of your window to create a shelf or ledge.
Step 3:
Attach a piece of fabric to the inside of the box opposite your window to create a backdrop for your puppet theater. You can use an old sheet or buy something at a craft store if you want to make a puppet stage that really stands out.
Step 4:
Apply the finishing touches. You can then write the name of the theater across the top of the stage, or drape some curtains above the window for an extra special touch.
Step 5:
Put on a show. Now that you've made your puppet stage, all that's left to do is put on a spectacular puppet show.
... or you can just use your smarts and create a stage
